Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the 2025 Junior Engineer (JE) examination notification. The exam will be held in two tiers: Tier‑I in December 2025 and Tier‑II in January/February 2026. Candidates can apply online from 30 June 2025 to 21 July 2025. The admission card will be available before the first tier of the exam, and the exam city list will be published on 26 November 2025.

Application period: 30 June 2025 – 21 July 2025 (apply before 11 pm).
Fee payment cutoff: 22 July 2025.
Verification and correction: 1–2 August 2025.
Slot booking for exam cities: 10–25 November 2025.
Tier‑I exam dates: 3‑6 December 2025.
Tier‑II exam dates: January/February 2026.
Admit card availability: Before the Tier‑I exam.

Eligibility

Age limits (as of 1 January 2026) are 18 to 30 years for most posts; the maximum age increases to 32 years for CPWD & CWC positions. Graduates (B.E./B.Tech) or diploma holders with two years of relevant experience are eligible for all branches, while some posts require only a diploma. No fee is charged for SC, ST, PH, and female candidates of all categories.

How to Apply

1. Register on the SSC portal (one‑time registration if not already done).
2. Fill out the online application (30 June – 21 July). Pay the fee of ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹0 for SC/ST/PH and females.
3. Upload a live webcam photo that follows the SSC photo guidelines.
4. Attach scanned copies of identity proof, address proof, educational certificates and any other required documents.
5. Review the preview carefully before submitting. Appointment confirmation and a printout of the submitted form are compulsory.
