Overview

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (CSIR) has released the application form for the National Eligibility Test (NET) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) scheduled for December 2025. Candidates from all over India can register online, submit their documents, pay the fee, and expect the exam on 18 December 2025. Eligibility & Age Limit

For the JRF: Maximum age 28 years as of 01 November 2025. For the NET: No age limit, though an age relaxation may apply as per the notification. Candidates must hold an M.Sc or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC and 50% for SC/ST/PH. Integrated course holders and graduates in B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharma/MBBS are also eligible.

Exam Pattern and Subjects

The December 2025 exam covers five subject areas: Chemical Science, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Science, Life Science, Mathematical Science, and Physical Science. Both NET and JRF papers will be multiple‑choice and are scheduled for a 90‑minute duration.

• General: ₹1,150
• OBC / EWS: ₹600
• SC / ST: ₹325
Payment is accepted online via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
