Who Should Apply and Who Should Not
- Who Should Apply: Students who have completed or are appearing for 10+2 with the required subjects and meet the age criteria.
- Who Should Not Apply: Candidates who have already secured admission in a medical course via a state quota and do not intend to switch, as the process can be time‑consuming.
Common Mistakes Candidates Make
- Skipping the “re‑check before submission” step – a minor typo can lead to disqualification.
- Uploading documents in incorrect size or format; always use PDF/JPEG under 5 MB as specified.
- Assuming the admit card will be released automatically; verify its availability on the official site a day before the exam.
What Usually Happens After This Stage
After the exam, NTA releases the official answer key within a week. Candidates can raise objections before the final result is published. Once the merit list is out, qualified candidates proceed to the counselling round conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
