Overview

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has opened the application portal for the 2026 Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) under the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can begin filling out the online form from 8 December 2025 and must submit it by 6 January 2026. The examination for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will take place on 8 February 2026 at selected centres across India.

Eligibility and Age Limits

Undergraduate programmes (B.Sc., B.Design in Fashion, etc.) require the applicant to be under 24 years on 1 August 2026. Postgraduate and doctoral programmes have no upper age limit. For all courses, candidates must hold a 10+2 qualification from a recognised board for UG, and a valid bachelor’s degree for PG, as detailed in the official notification.

• UG (SC/ST/PH): ₹500
• PG (General/UR/OBC/EWS): ₹3,000
• PG (SC/ST/PH): ₹750
• Late fee (any course): ₹5,000

How to Fill the Online Form

Begin by reading the official NIFTEE portal for the latest guidelines. Enter personal, academic and contact details carefully. Upload required documents in PDF or JPEG format; the size must not exceed the specified limit. Before final submission, double‑check all entries and documents. After submitting, download the confirmation page for your records.

Admit Card and Result

Admit cards will be available on the NIFTEE website only after the exam date is confirmed. Candidates should download the card a day or two before the exam. Results will be announced according to the schedule posted by NTA; candidates may view the results through the official portal once made live.
