Overview: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) recruitment for 2025. Candidates can apply online between 30 June 2025 and 21 July 2025. The exam will be conducted in December 2025 (Tier‑I) and January/February 2026 (Tier‑II). The total vacancy is 1,340 posts across various departments.

Important Dates

Application starts: 30 June 2025. Last day to apply online: 21 July 2025, 11 p.m. Online fee payment due: 22 July 2025. Correction of application: 1 – 2 August 2025. Self‑slot booking for the exam: 10 – 25 November 2025. Tier‑I exam: 3 – 6 December 2025. Tier‑II exam: January/February 2026. Admit cards will be released before the exam.

Eligibility

Minimum age: 18 years. Max age: 30 years for most posts; 32 years for CPWD & CWC posts. All categories. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma with required experience for respective trade. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and other categories as per the notification.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment covers posts in 12 departments such as BRO, CPWD, CWC, MES, NTRO, and others. Each department offers a mix of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical positions. The total vacancies amount to 1,340 posts. Pay scales are competitive and increase with seniority.

How to Apply

Before applying, you must perform the one‑time registration (OTR) on the SSC portal ssc.gov.in. For the online application, use the official form available from 30 June 2025 to 21 July 2025. Attach a live webcam photo, sign, and required documents. After submitting, make the examination fee payment (General/OBC/EWS ₹100; SC/ST/PH ₹0; Females exempt). Pay via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. Finally, print the confirmation page.

Exam Notice & Admit Card

Exam notice with dates and guidelines is published on the SSC portal. Self‑slot booking links are provided there for selecting your exam slot. Admit cards will be available a few days before the exam; download them from the ‘Consolidated Admit Card’ section on the portal.

Result & Answer Key

Results for both Tier‑I and Tier‑II are posted on the SSC website. Once results are declared, the answer keys will be released. Selected candidates will receive the official scorecard and other documents via the SSC portal.
