UPSC CDS Exam 2026: Apply Online Now

The Union Public Service Commission has opened the online application window for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2026. Aspirants wishing to join the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force or Officers’ Training Academy can submit their applications between 10 Dec 2025 and 30 Dec 2025, with the exam scheduled for 12 Apr 2026.

The CDS exam is a prestigious gateway for young graduates to become commissioned officers in the Indian Armed Forces. Candidates will compete for slots in the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers’ Training Academy.

Eligibility

All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (any stream) from a recognized Indian university.

Specific degree requirements for each post are: Indian Naval Academy requires an engineering degree; Air Force Academy accepts either a bachelor’s with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level or an engineering degree; Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy accept any bachelor’s degree.

Age Limits (2026)

Indian Military Academy & Indian Naval Academy: 19 – 24 years

Air Force Academy: 20 – 24 years

Officers’ Training Academy: 19 – 25 years

Age relaxation will be applied as per UPSC rules.

Download the full notification from https://upsc.gov.in before filling the form.

Prepare and upload scanned copies of your photo, signature, ID proof, address proof, and other required documents.

Pay the application fee (if applicable) and verify all details in the preview before submitting.

After submitting, print the confirmation page for future reference.
