Overview

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the NDA & NA Examination (I) for 2026. Young aspirants aged 16.5 to 19.5 years can apply online from 10 Dec 2025 until 30 Dec 2025. The exam will be held on 12 Apr 2026 and will select candidates for Army, Navy and Air Force training.

Important Dates

The application window opens on 10 Dec 2025 and closes on 30 Dec 2025, the same day the application fee must be paid. The test is scheduled for 12 Apr 2026.

Eligibility

Applicants must be between 16.5 years and 19.5 years on 15 Oct 2025. Candidates should hold a 10+2 Intermediate (or equivalent) from a recognised board. For the Navy and Air Force wings physics and mathematics are required in the Intermediate board.

Vacancy Details

Although the exact number of posts will be released later, the NDA will recruit for the Army Wing and the combined Navy & Air Force wings. Candidates should keep an eye on the official notifications for the final seat distribution.

How to Apply

Go to the UPSC NDA Application portal during the allotted period. Fill in all personal and academic details, attach scanned copies of the ID proof and the photo, review the preview carefully, and pay the Rs 100 fee for General/OBC/EWS or claim exemption for SC/ST/all female candidates. After submission, print the confirmation page as a record.

Application Fee Details

General, OBC, EWS candidates pay Rs 100. SC, ST and all female categories are exempt from the fee. The fee can be paid via debit/credit card, net banking, UPI or offline modes only.
